Orthios will shortly be commencing a public consultation for a proposed deployment of Modular Aero Compression and Storage (MACS) units on the Holyhead site. The unique MACS system includes ducted wind turbines utilising advanced aerodynamics to generate higher levels of energy compared to existing wind turbines.

To support the first deployment at Holyhead and subsequent deployment elsewhere, Orthios will be dedicating part of the Holyhead site as a MACS Assembly Centre. This centre will be supported by market-leading component manufacturers from both the UK and US who are currently producing pre-production prototype components for the system.
