Benefiting from co-located energy supplies, plentiful heat, and CO2, Orthios’ hydroponics centres can grow in-demand fruit and vegetables all year round.
Our crops will be grown in a soil-less, temperature-controlled environment using an efficient water/nutrient system. This allows us to limit the negative effects of conventional agriculture such as inefficient water use, high concentrations of nutrients and pesticides in runoff, and soil degradation accompanied by erosion.
Heat and CO2 derived from thermal energy projects on site will be used to enhance the production.
